Finally broke my first stall AND lost the one pound that was holding me back from my first goal! Sleeved May 16 & as of today down 25 lbs!!

Next goal: lose the next 15 which will put me under 200 for the first time in 15 years!!!

The 25 is from pre- and post-op diet, so I'm losing slower than my surgeon would like (I'm about 9 lbs behind where he wants me to be). He & my Nut are not very encouraging, so I'm hoping I can get some support here or on My Fitness Pal to keep me going!

Well no matter what, U WILL SUCCEED, U CAN DO THIS, ND WE R BEHIND YOU!! altho som people r in the medical nd May be fab at their Jobs, not all have the personality to give more than what their jobs require. Congratulations!!

Setting goals have been a great thing for me. A great motivator, a great way to have set times to Celebrate and a way for me to measure my progress! I love it when I hit a goal and sometimes when I am so close to a goal it will drive me crazy but when I in fact hit that goal or surpass it, I am over the moon!

Keep up the great work!!!!!

Thanks for the support everyone! I'm so glad I can come here and get feedback from others who are going though (or have gone through) the same thing. It really helps to know I'm not alone!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
