Honestly, who has had zero problems

Just curious, but with all the bad things on here, are there any of you out there who have had no problems of any kind? Zero, nada, zilch. I'm new to this and still ,I suppose tying to make sure I haven't made a mistake? What those who have been sleeved for several years?

I had my surgery 5/16/13. I also ended up having a hernia repair unexpected. Who knew! I took pain meds for 4 days. Took off work for 10 days. I feel great. No problems so far. I can't imagine something popping up all of a sudden. I have lost 29 pounds So far. I have absolutely no regrets what's so ever.

It depends on how you define a problem. Sure, I have slimed a lot, got acid reflux a couple times and thrown up a few times. But are these really problems? No!!! They are blips on the radar compared with radiant health, great strength and athletic ability the comes from living a life full of drive and passion as a post op. There is no goal that is too large. Consider the problems pre op I had before with morbid obesity: high blood pressure, prediabetic, mental issues, constant battle with food, lack of exercise, no self confidence and the list goes on and on. I have been problem free for the most part. I wish the best and quick recovery for those dealing with problems like leak, gall bladder issues, bad acid reflux and so on.

Almost 4 months out and haven't had any negatives to talk about. I function exactly the way I did before surgery, just much, much less. Havent had a sinhle stumbling block other than a stall or two. No vomiting, no having to get used to eating certsin foods. Nothing. I love my sleeve! 43 lbs down, 28 to go!

I'm 6 months out and 145 lbs down. I've had a little constipation -- otherwise, I haven't had any issues and I definitely have no regret (other than I wish I hadn't waited so long).

Surgery was wednesday (two days ago), one overnight in hospital. Just one pain med pill in hospital. Walking at the beach 2 times todays. So far so GREAT!

I am guessing you mean zero surgical complications? I didn't have anything. Everyone has pain and things like that though. I am 6 months out right now, I haven't even thrown up due to my surgery. I did once because of a migraine but that was it.

3 plus months out no problems at all. 1 bout of nausea early on brought my own cause. 54 pounds down. I don't tolerate greasy or sugary foods. That works out for me cause i don't need those anyhow. I have not been sick . I just sweat from sugar , i take it as reminder, no sugar and a caution! I got in this to eat healthy anyhow. From a 22/24 to a 14 I'm happy.

No Regrets!

6 mo out, surgery was a breeze....easiest surgery I've ever had! My only "problem" ( if you want to call it that) is occasional constipation...but I can now tell when I'm slowing down & take something, so that's an easy fix! Absolutely NO regrets, best thing I've ever done for myself!

Can't say I have had any issues (thank god). I haven't even thrown up either. Down 64 pounds in 3 months. Had a pretty easy recovery. Only took the pain meds for a couple days post op to knock me out to sleep.

No complications, nausea, vomiting, or regrets! All is good!

My surgery was May 9th and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. Almost no pain at all from the incisions, no vomiting or other digestive issues. I haven't had trouble with any particular foods either. At the hospital on the second day they only kept giving me apple juice which made me feel a bit sick to my stomach, but when I switched over to broth that problem resolved itself. That was the most trouble I've had. I have lost 25 lbs since the day of surgery so I am currently averaging 4 lbs lost per week. I'm very happy I had the surgery!

Waving hands here! I had gas that's it! I got nauseated twice. Once in the hospital the day of and here at home from too much liquid at once. Since, I feel great! I can eat w/o becoming nauseated and I have a good amount of restriction. I love my sleeve! I was banded before and maybe that's why? I have NO regrets except not getting sleeved sooner!!!!!

No problems. No regrets. Just under five weeks out and 26 pounds down. All post op.

Like some others, I am not sure how the OP would define a problem. My surgery was 2/4/13 at 7am. By 11 I was up and walking. I did not enjoy the cottonmouth for 24 hours while I was NPO and I am not a fan of the catheter. I used the little button they gave me to deliver pain meds and I never had pain that was more than discomfort as a result. My stomach spasmed some for the first few days, especially when drinking but that passed before I began softs at two weeks. I was pretty sick of protein shakes near the end of that two weeks, but I would not call that a problem so much as a step along the way. At 19 weeks, I can eat any proteins, fruits and vegetables. I can eat crackers and pretzels and even chips. I cannot eat bread (unless toasted), pasta or rice. Not a problem, but a blessing since I would likely not be able to resist them if I could. I can eat small amounts of sweet things. Like one sugar cookie. But too much disagrees with my belly. I have never thrown up and only become a little nauseous once when I ate one bite too many of refried beans. I can eat 3 to 4 oz or 3/4 of a cup of most food but only a couple of TB of beans so the one bite too many came on quickly and took me by surprise. Won't make that mistake with beans again. All this to say, from my perspective, this was the easiest most non-eventful medical procedure I have had done aside from gallbladder surgery. I had virtually no pain. I had no trouble getting around after. No trouble being comfortable in bed and no trouble eating and drinking. I have lost 57 pounds, including 16 pre-op. That is a little more than 2 pounds a week. I have not yet had a problem with thin hair -- although I am losing more than normal and my skin seems to be bouncing back pretty well for someone in their late 40s. I could not be more pleased with my sleeve.
