Well they have diet coke that is made with splenda. I have never had it personally but it does not have aspartame in it.

I thought carbonated beverages were a big no no being sleeved as it expands your stomach. I quit drinking diet beverages last Christmas trying to cut out artificial sweeteners. I do drink a lot of unsweetened ice tea. If you need sweetener use truvia.

I am being resleeved for a neofundus....I am actually try to do diet teas without aspartame or caffiene, not an easy thing to find, maybe i can brew some Decaf and add sweetener...what is suppose to be the safest sweetener at the current? I am not looking for carbantion, although they told me and others who post it does not affect the sleeve...Not sure what to believe anymore....

yeah i understand your pain! I was addicted to Diet Dr Pepper! Havent had one in over a year now and happy about that but still miss it from time to time.

I cant do plain Water either unless it is icy icy cold and only on occasion. I do alot of mio and disani drops in my Water but I am not sure what type of sweetner is in them.

I keep lemons around the house and make my own ice cold lemonade with whatever sweetener I have around the house (except for sugar).

I also make iced tea.

Hope this helps! I feel your pain!!!

I've had carbonated drinks lately...I was sleeved 4/29. It's not so much it stretching the sleeve, it's VERY uncomfortable, bordering on extremely painful. With that said, it'd be smarter to make your own drinks.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
