Exercise

Sleeved 5/28, and I have been just walking, using stairs parking at back of parking lot so I walk further. What im wondering is when we can start exercising and how much, should I be doing more now? I see my dr on Monday but just wanted to ask.

There's not really a set timetable for activity. Everyone is so different. I was sleeved on a Tuesday and was back in the gym and the job the following Monday. I only had a lifting restriction of no more than 10lbs, but other than that I could pretty much do what I wanted to do. I would say do what you feel like doing and do a little more each day.

Wait until Monday and ask your surgeon...

I would wait and ask the doc first.. my doc wouldnt let me have any gym until I was almost 3mo out.. and then ive only done cardio... and I was out of work for 17 days.. per my doctor..and when I went back I was on a lift restriction also.. so every one and every doc is different.. Im glad my doc plays it safe in making sure that stomach does not get damaged at all.. all is good now.. ive been to the gym now and my cardio workout is complete and Im getting ready to start weight training.. but as for now.. your best exercise is walk walk walk... best of luck to you on your new journey. :)

I just had my follow up yesterday with my Dr and he said I have no restrictions anymore and can work out and even swim. I was surprised and also sleeved on 5/28. Hopefully your Dr says something similar to you on Monday!
