I screwed up... I think.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I made a boo-boo. While I'm being honest, I made two boo-boo's.

I had some friends over to watch the NBA Finals. None of them know I had surgery. Of course, they brought pizza.

I took one bite from a slice of pepperoni pizza and picked off the remaining cheese.

Then, yesterday I had maybe two handfuls of popcorn. With butter ????

It was bad but so good all at the same time.

Any ideas what to enter into MFP for the pizza? Does anyone know how many calories that is?

No need for the guilt trip. I know I screwed up. Thanks in advance!

If you type "pizza topping only" into mfp, there's actually quite a lot of options to choose from :)

Bad bad bad!!! When in doubt "guesstimate"

Perhaps 1/2 slice of pizza?

Why? Did you secretly eat the whole pizza??

You are ok! It's ok to have a bit of anything sometimes :D

Haha, I definitely didnt eat the whole pizza! I just wish I didn't have pizza only two months out! I thought maybe it would be okay at 7 months, but not two!

I won't dwell. What's done is done!

Don't beat yourself up. You did good just having a bit! Think of how much you might have had pre-surgery. Not saying to do it again' date=' but....[/quote']

You're right. I probably could have indulged in half of a pie pre surgery.

I agree with lipsticklady- don't dwell and don't beat yourself up. I think a cheat treat is ok once in a while as long as ts not a regular thing and you are extra diligent the rest of the week. That's just my opinion. Pre op, you could have easily eaten 2-4 slices plus Snacks possibly and what else might you have been eating the rest of the week?

I don't plan to never taste pizza again and if it means a slower weight loss course, I am ok with that as long as I trend down

Oh heavens, I don't plan on EVER giving up pizza! Just will have to eat less of it & yeah, 4 slices, no problem! Hopefully after I'm sleeved, 4 bites for special occasions. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
