Went to the pre-op class last night at the hospital....its feeling a little more real.,....still have 3 more weeks of appointments to finish up. Mostly that class was a review of what I've learned through online/books......but there were a few specific questions pertaining to me that they were able to answer.

I started this process April 9th by going to an informational session................and the time has just flown.........When I made my reservation for last night's class, it seemed sooooo far away...

Hubby & I had a heart to heart talk last week and discussed pros/cons of WLS---after our discussion, I finally stopped making myself crazy over WLS....I was making myself absolutely nuts until laying everything out.....can't remember who suggested doing a list of pros/cons, but thank you!

[although after the class, I think hubby is getting cold feet about this whole thing....he nearly passed out in class]

And something I found interesting about the pre-op diet.....we all know it's to shrink that liver since they surgeons will be working underneath.....however, the PA last night said it's also to see if patients will follow the diet......because they find the people who follow the pre-op diet are more successful after having WLS....thought that was interesting, hadn't heard that before.

Enjoy your day!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
