Surgery date Monday but still not cleared

My bp was up last week and I didn't get cardiac clearance for surgery. My surgeon referred me to a cardiologist and I saw him today. Bp was still up but EKG and sonogram showed my heart is perfect (so glad to hear that!). But now I'm on 2

bp meds and I have to go back Thursday for another bp check. I'm just so frustrated. This came out of nowhere, I've never had Bp issues before. Ugh. I just do not want to have to reschedule surgery! It would be August before I could get in.
