I am nervous too and I don't get my surgery until June 11. Every surgeon is different. My surgeon does the more complicated ones first so In my case being last is better. But the nerves are to be expe

Good luck! Wow, first patient?! That's great. That means your doctor will be fresh and well rested for your surgery.

Im getting butterflies in my stomach...What about you? Yes, he said I will have it for 24 hours and it goes through your nose down into your stomach to drain all fluids for nausea and so you do not wake up from surgery dry heaving or vomiting from anesthesia. :( I have heard they are uncomfortable.......But I am excited. How long has your pre-op diet been? Mine has been for 5 days!

Ok im nervous as hell but I came this far so its a go I had pre op diet for 3 days n that was hell how did u do?

Well I got sick with the flu Saturday and Sunday so Monday was actually day 3 for me which should have been day 1 for a 3 day per-op diet, but it has not been that bad until I put my twin babies to bed and I just want to eat LOL

You are going to do great. My surgery is pn June 10th, I saw my surgeon today and I'm scared of the unknown. When I got there my pulse was at 120 I was so nervous. But he made me feel so at ease and he also told me the surgery will only be about an hour long. And he answered all of my questions. I feel so much better.

jus scared of the pain after

Just know that there will be pain. But there will also be good pain meds. It's nothing that you can't handle.

The worst part for me was before surgery in pre-op. I was having an anxiety attack and they couldn't get an IV going. My pre-surgery liquid diet had left me dehydrated and veins collapsing.

That's awesome... I meet with my surgeon on June 10th day before surgery... I hope I get the same reassurance as u did :)

Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery ;)

Good luck!
