I have not noticed any restriction at all.

I sing professionally and was really worried about this too, but I'm 8 days out and back to normal! Though not back at work until next week. I was told that the first few days doing the breathing excercises were important to improve lung capacity after surgery abd think doing the incentive spirometer thing a few times a day really helped.

Nope. the incisions aren't really in the part of your abdomen that you tighten up to sing. I play trumpet too and no problems. I'm a week and a half out.
