Anyone else find it difficult to sleep!? Back pains like crazy and I sleep on my stomach usually, any idea of when I might be able to get back to that!?

It's 3:00 am right now. That's why I'm up. I have been taking a pain pill before bed and it helps me to be comfortable and sleep, but it just didn't cut it tonight. I am also a stomach sleeper and I'm struggling sleeping on my back. I spent the first week sleeping in the recliner because I found it most comfortable. Every day I wake up I seem to be feeling better and better. Fingers crossed that I can sleep on my belly soon and sleep well. Good luck to you!!

I just turned over on my stomach after asking a friend who had surgery last year, she said it was fine and i seem to be fine! Feels soooo good! Does your starving stomach wake you up in the morning like a newborn!?

Sleeved 5/20.....still have pain at the site of stomach removal. Also pain bending/getting up in the same area. WHEN WILL IT GO AWAY. I also can't stomach Protein shakes....I literally gag. Water, about 40 oz. I have advanced my diet a little bit and today for Breakfast I had Special K with skim. I only had 6 bites and I chewed very well. I know I'm not supposed to but it went down fine and has 10 grams protein. Pre 265 today 249, losing fine. What is the big deal about advancing food if everything is going down fine and you take small bites and chew well? Also, I take tons of medication that is much bigger than a small soft foot that is chewed well? Anxious to eat food, I get full quick and can't handle liquids anymore....also, who can live on Popsicles, Jello and pudding. I think 6 bites of Special K with Proteins would be much better for me????

HOW ARE ALL MY MAY PEEPS DOING!!!!??! Progress!? Weight loss? Feelings (emotional/physical)?

Personally, I've gone down 12 lbs. just entered phase three under my doctors diet, purée. Feeling very anxious and having food withdrawals. I feel moody and I have absolutely no appetite. It's actually hard for me to remember to eat. I do take my supplements every day. I do feel somewhat more energy and I'm hoping this attitude Of impatience and anxiety goes away. How long are you guys taking Nexium for? How is everyone holding up? God bless! Xoxo -Christy<3

I'm doing good I'm 2 weeks post-op tomorrow! I lost 18 lbs the first week! I've stalled out for 5 days! Ran 4 miles today and looks like the weight is gonna start dropping off again! Energy levels are good I'm rarely hungry and I'm ready to go back to work next week!

I was sleeved on the 20th and I'm doing great!! I'm down almost 25 lbs. No problems on anything food wise. The pureed food this week is going nicely! My only problem is not getting enough liquids/protein. The Protein Shakes make me really nauseas for some reason. Been trying little things here and there a little more solid and nothing seems to bother me! I was back to work exactly 7 days later and been working since. Fortunately I work at the hospital where I had my surgery so they are so accommodating.

I too was sleeved on the 20th. Been hard with the pureed food. I would so much rather be on the liquids. Puree is just not good, feel like there is nothing to eat. Getting in my Protein. Had my first follow up appt with dr. yesterday Down 20 lbs so far. My NUT said i need to eat( pureed food stage) or I won't lose. What is everyone having as far as pureed?

Had my follow up w/Dr. today, down 11 lbs. Doing well...purée starts tomorrow according to my meal plan. Boy am I ready...lol. Otherwise, I too am a bit down in my energy level and not really interested in food. I figure moving to more substantial food will help this. Since mine is a revision from 6yrs. of lapband, this first stage of eating hasn't been too bad...been there, done this.

So, glad to be on the journey to a better me. :-)

Hello All, I was sleeved on 5/20 after having issues with my band of 2 years. My surgey was difficult due to lots of scare tissue and complications so I was in the hospital for awhile. I went back to work yesterday and boy do I feel drained. My biggest problem is this constant feeling of of bubbles and irritation down my throat every time I try to drink anything. After week one it went away but a few days ago it came back full force. Have any of you had that happen? I am working through it rig now because I know I am still healing but I hate this one step forward two steps back.

Did your Dr. give you anything like Zantac to take? My Dr. has me on it for 2 mos. then 1 mo. of Prilosec to make sure things heal up well. I was a revision too.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
