I am sleeved. I am on day three post-op. I have had more pain from the hiatal hernia repair than the sleeve. The other day, I told my nurse it felt like I had been punched. That's when she asked the doctor to allow me to have oral pain medication. That helped immensely. I have been sleeping off and on today, mostly because of the pain meds. I am not really in pain now, just sore and moving slowly.

Sbd1044) I also have to have a hernia repair im kind of worried bout the pain. Im glad ur feeling alil better. Hope u have a full recovery soon

I'm having a hiatal hernia repair as well. Thank you for the warning!! Hope the rest goes smoothly for you!

I made a deal with my husband today. I don't want to obsess over the scale post-op, sohe is going to keep it among his junk in the basement andretrieve it one day a week for a weigh in!

That is a cool ideal, better way to not stress. I want to weigh once a week, but I'll see once I get going. I do plan not to weigh after surgery until my first post-op visit.

My surgery date is July 22. Can't believe only 1 week away. Thanks so much for the helpful tips on this thread.

I'm with you, one week to go and we have crossed the finished line for this stage of the race!

My surgery is aug12th. On my 4week liquid diet. I know its will be worth it in the end but im so hungry. Atleast I get one meal a day:)

I cmnt imagine a 4 week liquid diet, I'm having to do one for 2weeks and I thought that was bad, but I don't have any reason to complain. You can do it just hang in there and remember why you are doing this when it gets hard.

14 days since my surgery.

Starting Weight 278

Day of Surgery 244.6

Today 232.

Eating pureed stage and loving the flavors. Things are going great and feeling better each and every day.

What are you eating? My puréed stage will be next week

I have my surgery scheduled for July 31st. I am currently on day 3 of my 2 week liquid pre op diet. I am taking in 100 ounces of water, 4 protein shakes a day and about 3 sugar free jellos. I don't like broth so that is out of the question. Any other ideas for something I can have? I am in countdown mode but so hungry, will this feeling ever go away?

Hungry in Houston!!!!

I am the 31st also and begin my liquid diet assigned by the nut today. I have been doing my own off and on since the first (only eatig food 7 days this month and down 20 lbs from last visit to nut!). Mine is 4 carnation instant breakfasts (I could not afford optifast), one protein shake, all the broth, zero calorie drinks I want. Also I get one Proti bar to get the chew feeling. That is all. If u don't like broth they said I could have low cal cream soups like tomato. Popscicles, jello, coffee, diet tea....
