Well my date just got moved from June 24th to July 1st... So I am officially a July sleever :)

Welcome! I'm scheduled for July 1st also :)

How on earth do you friend folks from your iphone? I can't seem to do this unless I'm on a regular computer it seems.

For Facebook?

I am getting sleeved July 1st! So excited & nervous at the same time...I have waited a long time for this to happen!

I am hoping to make the July list! I am just waiting on a insurance now. Everything was submitted last week. I already have vacation scheduled in July so hoping it all works out and can have it then.

I don't have an exact date. So far they are telling me mid-July. Yes, it seems all I think about now. I'm an older sleever - 67. Was afraid they would tell me I'm too old! I've been obese for about 30 years. Of course, I've tried and lost and gained several times over the years. I really want to spend the rest of my life in the best health possible. Don't feel old yet and don't want to!

Hi lilyrose - I just found out today that my surgery date is 7/9. I'm 58 and wish I had done this sooner, but sometime is better than no time. I'm going to spend the next few weeks getting all the goodies I need and start writing down ideas for meals when we can eat. I went to a local support group tonight and 5 former patients were there to tell their story and for encouragement. Glad I went. Good luck to you - I'll be sure to check for your posts to see how you are doing.

Im July 5th and Im in Riverside, CA. Anybody close by?

Hi - my surgery date is 7/9 and I live in San Diego. Hope all goes well with you.

Thinnerdaysahead, thanks for your support. I hope the same for you.

For my fellow early July sleevers...what are you doing to prepare? Are you buying anything?

My surgery is less than 10 hrs away. Soooooooo scared

Sorry I didn't get back with you on this.

I have been buying applesauce/ pudding/ jello and trying to get used to the texture. I used to hate all these non chewable foods, but apparently that is the point now. :)

I also bought the sample packs of unjury protein packets. I tried the chicken soup this am, and was sadly disappointed. I don't know what it was, but I could not stomach it at all.

I have a couple of boxes of sugar free Popsicles in the deep freeze too.

That's my plan. I don't want to have to run out in the first couple of weeks to the grocery store full of food that I can't eat, just to buy liquids.

Tentative for July 3rd @ Mt Sinai' date=' NYC[/quote']

I'm July 3rd too!
