I have a 15 month old Son, he is my motivation for having this surgery. I'm starting to get nervous, but I know it's for a longer, healthier life. I also want to have the energy to be able to keep up with him. Good luck everyone! July 1st is just around the corner

My grandmas name was Sunshine! She lived up to it too! My surgery date is July 2nd in Mexico! So excited to start this journey. So tired of kicking myself daily!

Ironically this person I am speaking of is one of my best friends! I have only told 4 folks. Two of which live with me and all are super supportive except her! She talks about how I could die. Mind you I told her I was only CONSIDERING it... not my final decision to do it. think its threat to her if I become thin as she remains plus sized. I don't want to lie and omit details but I am feeling like I may have to so I can remain positive. If she continues to obsess over it and continues to badger me I may have to be firm with her. This is something I want to avoid.

My friend is also negative which is surprising because she's had a tummy tuck, facelift, etc. if she says anything else I'm going to let her have it. Smh.

I'm so excited about this. My surgery is scheduled for July 24th, and after talking with my husband, I know he's totally on board to support me through this (yup, he's definitely a keeper! Good thing, since we've been together 14 years ). He's even planning some ways to help me stay on track and keep him involved, too.

I wish I could do this sooner, though I know I can't. I just need to hang in there!
