Stopped losing weight

I was sleeved on 1/31/13, I've gone from 288 to 234. Around 3 weeks ago, when I hit 235, I had some concern. Anytime I've tried to diet in the past, this is about the weight I've hit that plateau before falling off and regaining all my weight back. Are these long stalls normal?

Counting calories sucks but is essential during weight loss. In my opinion anyway.

Well my stall ended this week! Went from 234 to 228! I'm feeling really good about breaking into the 220's! I don't shake things up, I just kept doing what I've been doing.

Myfitnesspal App has been my life saver I use this app ever day to track my food and other sleever..

Cyncity if you take in 1000 cal a day and you burn 2000 a day. And one pound is 3500 cal you will loose about 1lb every 4 days. Isn't thats kinda right everybody. So don't worry it's all good you are doing fine. Keep on steppin sista.

I am 4 months out and am in the longest stall so far. I am down 61 total and am so happy. My goal is 150 but I am stuck at 165. Doing all the right things so trying not to get crazed about it. I guess if I don't lose more it would be ok since I feel like a new person but really want to get to goal. I guess we all get stalls but even a pound or two would be nice to keep the enthusiasm up.

My NUT tools me that people often hit a stall when they reach a weight that they stayed at for a while on the way up - like their body recognizes a familiar place and wants to linger there. As others have said, she said to mix things up when a stall hits.

I totally feel like this is what's happening. Do you think once I break this plateau the weight loss will continue? It's like groundhogs day with the scale!! Lol

Thanks deputy360. It's all mathematics;)

I run through the following checklist when I don't lose for a few days:

- Am I drinking 64+ of water? This is my main culprit.

- Am I getting in 60+ of protein?

- Am I taking all my vitamins?

- Calorie check - I will raise for a few days, then drop a couple days.

- Carb check - I will lower to 20-30/day

- How much did I exercise? 3-4 days/week

- Is it that time of the month?

- Am I obsessing too much over the scale? Usually if I take a week break and do the other things noted above, I will lose.

- What are my NSVs, I can always find one (ex. I found my neck bone, or dropped a size, or finally did 20 burpees without dying)

Ok you were right!!! It happened! I finally got through my 6week stall and am down 3pounds! It's not much but I will take it!!! I drank more water and ate less carb and HEALTHY protein not fatty meats and it finally began moving again. I'm excited to try again. Thank everyone for your pointers.

I was on a three week stall and finally lost three pounds, not much but I'll take it. And I hit my first goal. Now onto the next short goal.

Well I'm at my stall now. I've been at 203 for little less than 2 weeks. Kind of a Pain. My goal is 170 started at 237 and surgery was 3-19-2013. So how long was your stalk???

I just got out of my stall for about 3 weeks I would go up and down on my weight and then it's starting to drop off sleeve 3/4/2013.I up my water and protein and a little on my cals' and went to the GYM 3x week ..It will come off give it time...

Yes. They are completely normal...I've had ton of stalls. I've had some from 3 weeks to 2 months. Don't be discouraged...its just ur body catching up. I patiently waited and I've made it under 200 now...but I had to be patient...you'll get there....
