I started my period on the operating table, and had it for about a week, was off for a few days, then had a HEAVY period for about a month. It stopped for two days and just started AGAIN!

Anyone else had an experience like this??

That sounds like my cycle in the 9 months before my hysterectomy. :-/ I would take to your GYN about, if you're on the pill, you may need to switch to a different one, or if you're not on one, maybe consider starting to get it controlled. Due to a clotting disorder, I couldn't use hormonal BC and ended up with the hysterectomy after an ablation failed. Usually if its not just a temp thing caused my surgery, a GYN can get it under control with a hormonal BC! :) good luck. I know that sucks!!!

Until you get it under control, make sure you take Iron pills because all that blood loss will make you anemic.

I had surgery once before, and I had the same exact reaction as far as my monthly bill coming on suddenly...stopping...then going on for over a month. My doctor said it was likely a combo of physical trauma and hormonal shifts from having been operated on, and also partially because my body was reacting to the anesthesia (that's what had initially brought it on). I'd still check on it with your doctor, but at least you can know it's not unheard of! Hang in there :)

I'm glad to know its not just me! My mom is a gyno so we've been talking about bc so I think I'm going to start the pill soon and then get an IUD. I just wish this would stop already.... My local target is going to run out of super plus tampons if this keeps up much longer....

I was on day 5 the day of surgery... usually that was my last day..but it stayed for another 9 days or so.... and it has come every 3 weeks ever since... Im on extra Iron supplements...I was anemic before surgery...got normal for a bit and am back anemic again....

I will be glad when these hormones balance out...

I bled like that for 20 years. I finally ended up getting a hysterectomy. The best thing I ever did.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
