I went to a wedding 3 days post op. I really just played with my food. I was discharged on mushy foods so I was able to have a little bit of soup. No one knew about my surgery at the time, and while I clearly didn't eat much. Everyone was obviously was to distracted and no one even noticed.

My go to food is soup, if we go out I always end up ordering soup as my meal.

Anything mushy would be fine, but I just took my protein powder and asked for a glass of skim milk. No problem!

Take your protein shakes and water with you. Be prepared, take whatever you are eating at that stage with you. Preparation is half the battle.

I would try to eat some of your on-plan food beforehand. Too much of a crapshoot otherwise. And then go tear up the dance floor! :)
