No Drinking with Meals!

My surgery is in a month (4/23) I am panicked though because I have always had a drink with me when I eat a meal. I have been trying so hard to quit drinking with my meals, but I get so thirsty!!! Any advice or words of encouragement on how to stop drinking with my meals would be appreciative. I have been caffeine free for the past 2 weeks and going strong. I have been staying under 1200 calories a day, and been hitting the gym hard! (Trying to shrink that liver..lol) I also started taking biotin, vit e, c and b, also some milk thistle to help lower my liver enzymes. So I feel like Im doing good, but drinking with my meals has been SO HARD for me. The thought of having to wait 30 minutes to drink seems like mission impossible to me... lol

Slimes= really horrible gross slimy saliva. It doesn't stop forever. Makes you feel like you are gonna puke. It sucks! Lol

The slimes for me, like Sass said, just a ton of saliva building up in my throat, swallow it down, twice as much comes back. The best way I can put it...its like taking a raw oyster (or a ball of snot) and letting it slide down your throat. It's pretty gross.

I was a BIG drinking while eating person. I learned real quick I had to stop. I watch the clock, and 30 minutes after I'm done eating, I'm good to go.

Lol! Yeah, it's gross. When I get the slimes, I have to throw it up. For me, it's like a small ball of food, encased in a mucas substance. It happens when I eat too fast, eat too much, or try and drink to close to eating.

Someone said cottage cheese helps or having a orange to suck or some apple sauce helps but who really eats apple sauce or oranges with a steak lol I thought about a fruit cup after eating but drinking the juice might be cheating just a little bit :) I'm a hard core drinker and eater I only drink when I eat infact so I'm looking for desperate ways to solve this when it comes time for surgery
