Has anyone been on jetblue airlines?

I'm tired and need a vacation and want to plan a Miami getaway . I haven't been on a plane for 18 years! :( and seriously need to get over the scare! But now I'm scared i won't fit in the chair...

Decide what flight you are going to go on and then go to seatguru.com to see the exact configuration of the plane and size of seat.

The seat on the jetblue plane that I flew on was 18" wide and the distance between my knees and the seat in front of me was ample! My weight was 290 and my pant size was a Lane Bryant size 24 and I have very full hips/thighs and a nice generous lower tummy. I fit in the seat just fine although it was a bit tight, the armrests went down and everything and I did not need a seatbelt extender.

Last year I flew on a plane with an 18 inch seat at 325 pounds and I fit then as well.. I needed a seatbelt extender for one flight because the belt was WAY short.. but the other flights I didn't need one.

Hope this helps.

I work for an airline but no Jetblue. I feel the pain I fit in the seats but I'm always terrified I will gain and not be able to buckle the seat belts or will eventually have to get a second seat. Depending on your size you may want to call the airline and find out their seat sizes (or look up on line) also every airline will post what their second seat policy is. Most times if you do have to buy a second seat they will sell you the second seat for only a fraction of the cost and refund you if the plane goes out with empty seats.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
