Post op march sleevers

  • Popular Post

I got sleeved on the 5th and it wasnt that painful the first few days. after i came home i started to feel the pain, specially the gas pains. Swallowing is a totally new experience. If i take a sip thats to big the pain i get in my chest from pain is so bad.

I cant wait for it to get better. Its not that i regret it, oh no, it just that its like learning to eat all over again. I have started to write down none scale victories. I want to exercise again, i want to play sports again, and most of all play with my kids without feeling tired

I've been in a 3 wk long stall!!! Have tried everything to break it. I was sleeved 3/8/13 and have only lost 17 lbs total. I feel terrible about the scales, but I have lost inches. I've been reassured that the scales WILL eventually move again...can't happen soon enough for me!!! But, today has been a better day, trying to change my mindset :) everyone says 6 mo from now this will be just a dream....

I know what your talking about Sherrie. I also on a 3 week + stall. Very frustrating not seeing the scales go down. At least my clothes are getting bigger show I am losing cm. should have measured myself as well the kg will start coming off again. Cannot wait. I am almost 6 weeks out. Good luck and keep us up to date:)

Tomorow is 6 weeks for me and I have been in the stall for 3 weeks. I'm so grateful to hear I am not alone. Today I actually felt hungry and gave in. I ate about 1000 cals which doesn't seem like a lot but I normally don't feel like eating. Its been like a chore (I never would have believed it)

What is everyones cal in take. I really am not sure where I'm supposed to be at.

Ok, went to my 6 week post op....225.7 and was told keep chugging along!! Still full liquids, applesauce consistency...and sip sip sip. He said my choice in egg protein was great and that as long as I keep going the way I am I'll be very successful. He did confirm to me...to expect stalls and not get discouraged. It's our bodies way of saying whoa nelly what's happening here? Our bodies will freak out and plateau at times and think either we are starving or try and retain water, or just try to readjust to our changes. He said do not give up...keep moving forward our bodies and weight will catch up.

Thanks, Sunette! Sorry u r going thru the same thing...it is sooo frustrating, and difficult not to compare myself to others since I am trying so hard!! My clothes are getting bigger and I'm so happy about that!!! Good luck...we all need to keep in touch :)

I had to read this twice!! I can't believe I have a sleeve twin, lol, but sorry u r going thru the exact same thing I am! But, I like ur attitude better than mine !! Let's follow up on here!! It will be interesting to see if we finally take off someday!!

I've been between 600-800 cal, abt 75gr of protein and lots of fluid...I'm clueless as to why I'm in this 3 wk stall!! But,1000 should shake things up some from what I've read...I'm gonna try it this week!! Can't hurt, I don't think anyway!!

I'm at 225 I see my Dr today to find out if I've lost more over the last few days. I'm still chugging along. Is everyone still on full liquids or soft foods? I'm doing my shakes and jello, pudding, soups. Just ate 4 baby shrimp ( no breading) a few days ago...had no problems, but not risking anymore until doc says ok.

I'm beginning my 8th week out so I can eat anything but steak and pork...

I'm 209.8 today. I know this is only exciting to me, but I'm 10 pounds from Onederland!!!! Yea!!!!!!

It's very exciting!!! Remember , we're all happy for all other March Sleevers!!! We are a great group of Losers, Lol!!!

I am at 201.4 as of this morning so I know how you feel being sooo close to onederland! We'll all get there!!!

Sent from my iPhone using VST

Wow, I'll prob cry if I ever get that close!! It seems sooo far away for me!!! Congratulations!!! Let us know how it is when u arrive in Onederland!!!

I was sleeved March 1. I was stalled for the past week, just lost two more pounds looks like the stall is over. 52 lbs down.

I must say I am so surprised by the people with less than a 80 lbs to loose that are opting for this surgery, This is not the easy way out this is very challenging both physically and mentally, I have personally lost 140 lbs three times ove the past 35 years so I know it can be done without surgery. My problem is that it was a 10 year cycle each time to loose and then gain the weight back, at 50 I dont have that many 10 year cycles left. Every time I lost the weight before the sleeve it was diet and exercise... Guess what sleevers it is the same thing after the sleeve... Diet and exercise!!!! Weight Loss Surgery Is not the Easy WEIGH out.

Don't you thing everyone on here knows that. So you lost 140lbs 3 times do it a forth or fifth. But you yourself have no control. So your gonna come here and preach to all of us. Give me a break. You need to find out what your own prob is. Everyone here knows this is a tool and it not all about how much you loose. It's about getting healthy and staying that way with the tools you have. You for one should know that.. So if your not here to be positive and motivational the jeep on steppin!!
