    Ohio Sleeve patients?

Welcome!!! Everyone here if you're on Facebook there is a lady who has a secret room that she will add you to...no one on your page sees your posts or that you're a member. It's a great page for support also. Search for Elizabeth Warner here...she should be in my friends list. Look for her on Facebook and she will add you once you friend request her.

I'm glad to help!! I feel that sharing info is crucial because we are all told different things. I've got a whole 3 ring binder full of info and if it helps anyone I'm glad to share! We are all striving for the same goals and no one should be deprived of that.

My nut told me NO protein bars as they're a carb packed nightmare and so far every bar I've got has been packed with carbs. Ive yet to find one that's high protein low carb. In fact my Dr. And nut gave us guidelines to use for our protein intake and how to guard against over loading and gaining. The guidelines are as follows. Protein supplements should contain 15-25 gr of protein, NO more than 5-8 grams of sugar and no more than 3-5 grams of fat for each 8 oz prepared serving. 60-80 grams of protein are needed each day to maintain muscle and no collegen protein. For those with stalls...maybe this will help?

It's sorta like dumping, but it's our bodies way of dealing with grease and fried foods. I did that with a fried shrimp...just one and I was vomiting, sweating, tired and said no more!!! I also decided I'd try a teenie weenie sip of Coke...I was a coca cola addict before. The carbonation burnt my tongue, and I winced from the taste. I guess this surgery does change you!

Gas pain people...I hear and felt your pain. When it happens..walk, walk, walk and keep walking. It lets the air move...and once you have surgery you'll be forced to sip sip sip if not then the pain will happen because of the air we are taking in.

    Just keep swimming...just keep swimming

Just keep going, just keep going......Dory will find you!! She at least can remember the address! :-) my dr told me Monday at my 6 wk ck up that I'm going to have roller coaster moments. You're moving and your body is trying to figure out what you're doing to it! It's confused and it will catch up trust me. Plus remember muscle weighs more than fat, so you're building muscle burning fat and the scale WILL go down. When it does you'll do your happy dance! Patience grasshoppa!

    string cheese

Full liquid diet is for string cheese...it's got between 6-8 gr of protein. I'm a string cheese junkie!

GNC, but they're not healthy and are a horrible source of protein. They're made of Collegen protein and it's not a good source for bariatric patients.

I am not sure if anyone eats this, but a good source of protein is string cheese. My nut told me that the Frigo light string cheese is a perfect source!!
  19. Honestly, I'd check with insurance because some are saying if you don't follow the routine check ups they'll stop paying.

I use my fitness pal on my android phone and my net diary on ipad. I noticed that they both have good dictionaries...but I do like the pro better because I can scan my food in and use the bar code reader. I can also adjust my caloric intake and it had a part where you adjust settings to suit your diet.

I have roughly 90-92 more pounds to lose and believe me after talking to my Dr yesterday and telling him about the stall I had. He smiled..he said we are all riding a roller coaster. Our bodies will lose if we keep doing the regimen and exercise. Guys and gals we are not lazy..we are doing this. I've not read one post op March sleever yet say they're lazy! Lets get it going! I walk a Thin Red Line, Thin Blue Line and it's in my nature to fight on! Right Deputy 630?

    Help please:)

It's crucial to get Protein, it's how our muscles function. If you don't get 60-80 grams a day your body will "eat" it's own muscle to use making you tired, and you can get ill. Hydrating and protein is your job now..protein first. Jay Robb has egg Protein powder that has no nasty taste. For one scoop it's 24 gr of protein and you most definitely need to keep it up. That's scary that you had no protein for that long...my nut and Dr push protein, hydration and soft veggies and soft foods (applesauce consistency) Good luck everyone and please don't ever be afraid to research your new lifestyle..because its your health at stake!!

To the person who can lose it easy...go for it. But we are all educated and have researched this lifestyle and change with research and much consideration. None of us here are blind or think we just took an easy way out. If you think this is easy...PLEASE do yourself a favor and exit stage door left...because we ALL work at this 24/7 we don't get cheat days to pig out. We know the seriousness of our choices and we all have our health and future with our families to keep us focused. We here help each other we encourage and motivate, we won't tolerate your negativity. Please remove yourself from this forum as you've taught us nothing but your crass and rude behavior. To my fellow March post op sleevers....keep rocking on and love to you all!!
