I can easily recall the day when I would have walked thru that meal and been looking for a snack couple of hours later.

Some of us are pre-op and possibly still could if not for promises we've made to therapists, family, the last pair of pants that fits.... Thank goodness it's not available until after 9. I have 2 kids under 3. Leave the house after 9pm? That's cute.

Down south here we have Hardee's which is owned by Carl Jr. They put out something similar. I went up on the website, and pulled down the numbers on this puppy. You don't have to wait until 9:00 to get this you can get it anytime. Bon appetit!!

Why is it all so cheap??? I can understand how low income families have the biggest weight problems, because you get so much food for so little money.

Yes!! that's the problem! And calling this "food" is a mighty generous term..:)

We've cut out processed foods this past month... The jump in our grocery bill was a shock! I know we'll get better as we get used to purchasing these healthy foods smarter, but the cheap, easy and horrible foods are definitely the cheap ones!! It's awful.

Ok we have a lot of Aussies here Lisa!

I know they didn't get fat eating Vegemite...

:P

And I've had jack the box too! That's funny you should mention pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my son. I remember one day I could not rest easy until I had some chili cheese fries!! :P

That's funny. Pregnancy was about the only time in my life I craved vegetables. I actually would lose some weight at a point in each pregnancy because I was gaining baby but losing fat. Don't worry though, I made up for it after delivery when that vegetable magnet was gone and nursing so I "needed" extra calories lol oh wow... I don't wanna talk about that time... That was bad! Lol

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!
