My 2 Month Post-Op Surgiversay NSVs!

Recommended Posts

Hi Gang,

So, I had to hop on a plane yesterday to attend a conference in New Orleans. This is my first flight post-op.

Guess what? NO EXTENDER NEEDED!!! This is where the heavens open up and angels sing, because not only in addition to being big, I am tall and due to my weight, I have not been able to sit in the exit rows for many years.

Now I can again - yay! Flying will no longer be as uncomfortable.

Also, the shorts I wore on the plane were 44" - last December when we flew I wore a 52". My jacket/vest is an XL and it zips up!

Wow, that's a lot of exciting stuff!!!!

I just noticed that I didn't reply to your question!

I was 326 on surgery day and on the date of the 2 month surgiversary video I was 284, so that would have been a 42 lb loss.

Sorry about taking so long to reply!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
