Purging the closet

So I haven't really lost enough weight for a ton of my clothes to be way too large yet but I do have a few things that are too big and a ton of things that are not very flattering. REALLY enjoying getting rid of things and making space.

Does anyone have a favorite charity they like to donate too?

Heh.. I first read your topic as purging I closet!?!? A local donation place that's really good is a place that helps homeless or displaced homemakers get back into the job market

We have a resale shop close by that uses all their proceeds for the local animal shelter. At 8 months post op, I'm still cleaning out my closet. It's an ongoing thing.

Vietnam Veterans and Lupus foundation. Both will pick up from your home and provide you with a tax receipt. Links below: http://www.scheduleapickup.com/ http://www.lupus.org/webmodules/webarti

Maybe someone here would like them? They pay for the flat rate box and you stuff it full of goodies.

About the same time I was ready to start purging some items, I received a donation bad in the mail from the Lupus foundation. They request you fill it up and give them a call. They came and picked up 3 big bags of very good condition items. Double my NSV!!

I have donated clothes in the past to a charity called Dress for Success http://www.dressforsuccess.org/supportdfs_donate_clothing.aspx

I plan to donate my stuff here in the future... I don't know if you have ever tried to shop second hand stores for plus size clothes... It is difficult and charities like this are in HUGE need of plus size clothing!
