It's a cold and snowy day here. My husband works nights and is sleeping. It's quiet. There's not much to do. You get the picture...

I pulled out a couple of favorite cookbooks to write down ingredients on my grocery list. I continued browsing and came across 'monkey bread'. If you're not familiar with it, it's simple matter of canned biscuits, cinnamon, sugar and butter.

Oh my gosh. Just seeing that recipe, I could imagine myself sitting there eating as much of it as I wanted. Just chowing down. A binge. That led my mind toward other foods that I'd really like to binge on. It seems my mind is absolutely wrapped around food (or lack thereof) today.

Anybody out there that can empathize?

Dont go there..lol

I bought my family a wurzel bread to go with some butternut Soup I made an for some reason I had to eat bread today!I dont think I've had any bread for 10 months now.

Of course once I started I couldnt stay away from it.AND IT STILL MAKES ME FEEL AS BAD ABOUT MYSELF as in the BAD OLD days!

I hate the fact that carbs can get me so out of control!

Back to good old solid Proteins.Makes me feel goooood!

Bingeing sucks,even sleeve style binge!

Yes, totally! We aren't too far away... SW Ohio here so we are also dealing with the snow and dreary cold days. I live alone and don't have much to do today so I'm enjoying some couch time. These kind of weekends I would look forward to binging and eating as much junk as possible. I loved to order in as much food as possible... three Chinese lunch specials, large pizza and wings, etc. Now I'm thinking about what to have for lunch... hmm, veggie burger or grilled chicken? It can be a tad depressing because food does still excite me. And sometimes I do order pizza... except ate less than half of a small. I don't beat myself up about it but I don't feel too physically well after it either. I'm a boredom eater and this cabin fever is getting the best of me!

So, yes, I understand. We are human.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
