FOOD! Just having a hard time with it and on top of that i cant stand the indigestion after and while i eat

It will get better. I am assuming cuz I wont know til after tomorrow but I think its normal. You are in mourning, its grief. We gave up something we loved and turned to in times of need. Itsonly temporary. You will get thru this and you will one day be able to eat yur faves but just in moderation. You will get better and maybe a good cry is all you need. If the feelings do not subside tho you may want to talkto youdoctor.

Be happy sweetie :)

It's really normal what your going through! You are going through so many changes physically and emotionally.

The surgery really throws everything out of whack for a while. Give it time it will get better

Just keep your mind on the prize:). Think of an event or plan something to look forward too, that you'll need a new sassy outfit for, say in six months. Keep yourself busy right now...get your mind off food.

sorry to hear your a little depressed....try to focus on how great you'll look in a few months and how much healthier you'll be.

Thanks for the encouragement

I am feeling a bit of depression myself. I am not up to doing much yet so to much tv and time to think. I hope it gets better. It is such a big adjustment to our lives, I don't think I realized how much until now. I know its a positive change but all change can be hard.

One thing my psych suggested is to keep an index card or photos of what my ultimate reason for the weight loss goal is in my purse or on me at all times so that if I think of food I'll remember that whatever it is I want right now is not as important as the long term goal which is to live for my kids and grandkids.

I am 3 weeks Post Op also, and feel depressed. Have been crying for no reason. Went to the "shrink" she told me is was a normal way to feel, my body and mind have been through a lot of changes very quickly and it will take time to feel myself. Just remember why I had WLS and stay positive, she also incresed my aniti~depresenat for the next month.

Good Luck

It took me about 3 months to be able to eat the foods I enjoy... life has become normal. I go out with friends...eat in restaurants ..... tiny portions of course. But, I am there and enjoying time with friends....I was really worried at the 6 week Mark....I felt so drained all the time..... sometime between the 8th and 10th week it all changed. I hope the same for you! Best Wishes Tina

I am not up to doing much either.... I think going back to work even though i hate it may be a good idea... I know it will get better it is just taking forever

Try and be on your feet after eating. Gravity helps the stomach drain. If I sit, I feel full and gaggy!
