For the first six weeks after surgery, the only exercise I did was walking. I didn't start Zumba until about 2 months out. I started with a Kinect game and then moved on to a real class and then ended up ordering the DVDs too. I still take classes as well.

A blogger I follow just had plastics done, and she shared photos of her belly before and after. You can see them at this link: http://prettyif.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/body-lift-pictures.html

Holy crap...I hope I don't have that much extra skin but her surgeon did a GREAT job! Plastics may be an option to look into if the loose skin is too bad. We will have to see how it turns out for me. Thank you for sharing!

I have a collage that shows my before in a swimsuit, my after in a swimsuit and my after plastics in a swimsuit. I looked fine in my bikini before plastics, but after is even better. I have to say that I lost another 10 pounds after the second bikini shot in the blue bikini was taken. I looked even better in it, except it got too big. I had plastics three weeks ago so now its better than ever. I didnt HAVE to have plastics done to wear a bikini, thats the point Im trying to make here. Good luck to you!

That makes me feel SO much better, I was having a mini-panic attack after I saw that girl's blog! You started about 25 pounds lighter than I am starting and our goal weights are very similar along with our heights. I hope I'm as successful as you! Do you have any tricks that helped with the skin? Before plastics you had almost no sagging skin which is my hope for myself. Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm hoping that since I'm young my skin will "bounce back" somewhat easily.

Becky, I'm 44 as of July of this year. I think as long as you do some sort of walking or exercise most days, you wont have a big problem. I walked mostly and did some zumba, elyptical, etc. I was not consistent with it but for the most part, I exercised about three days a week or so. This summer I didnt do anything really. It was hot and I just wasnt motivated. I did start jogging/walking in early october and finished my first 5k in 36:10! I was very pleased with myself for that. I am only three weeks out from my plastics so I cant exercise for a few more weeks but I plan to train for another 5k or maybe even a half marathon. I enjoyed it, if you can believe that. Just follow the rules the best you can and get some exercise in. You are young. Believe in yourself!

Just being completely honest here, I wouldn't have guessed you to be any older than 32. You look FABULOUS! Your body looks amazing and I know girls my age including me who would be insanely jealous. I plan to exercise and have a personal trainer because I want to make sure I do this right and try to avoid plastics. Kudos to you and thank you ever so much for sharing!

When you reply click "More Reply Options" next to the "Post" button at the bottom of the window then when the new screen opens if you scroll down there should be a place to "Attach a photo" and then a "Browse" button to find the picture on your computer.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
