My date is November 28th. Been on a liquid diet for 6 days now. Lost about 8 pounds! Getting very nervous but I keep reminding myself that I am doing this so that I will be around to see my family grow up. Thanks for all of you who post on this site. You are all an inspiration. Go sleevers :)

Eating once a day??? My surgery date is the 29th and I only had to do a 7 day diet - been doing good though, search for different ways to change your shakes - and findout what triggers you to 'eat' and stop... :). You can do it!

like last night I ate a burger patty (meat only) and today I had 2 eggs and a piece of sausage...the shakes do not taste bad to me I just cant drink 5 of them a day so I have been having two and something small to eat with no sugar and no carbs

Are you mixing your shakes with Water or skim milk? Because the firs time I tried drinking my shake I mixed it with water and i couldnt drink it... Now i only have 4 shakes a day since I mix it with skim milk... And to be honest I am not even drinking 4 since I run out of time... ive been drinking more like three and one cup of chicken broth- and trust me- not hungry one bit... You really should stick to the diet because your surgery is around the corner and you wint have a choice then...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
