No hair loss for me yet *knock on wood*. I haven't been doing anything special other than taking my vitamins' date=' getting in Protein, 60+ oz of fluids, and exercising. My weight loss has been so slooow though.[/quote']

I hope you don't have to deal with the Hair loss. At least I have a lot of hair, so it's not that noticeable. I just need to stop it before it gets worse. I'm going to try Biotin and see how it works.

I was sleeved on Oct 24th. I am down 60 lbs total right now. I have no time for the gym (leave for work at 6AM and come home by 7PM) so I need to find a way to get some physical activity in because my thighs are really looking old lady scary. I eat mostly Protein, get in about 50 oz of fluids a day, and take B12 and Biotin regularly. My Vitamins make me sick to my tummy, so I am sure I will have some sort of issue until i can find Vitamins that I can toerate.

On the hair loss, I have tons of hair, thick and half way down my back. I always lose strands every time I run my hands through it, but even with the Biotin, I see more strands lately. Oh well. I hope it doesn't get too noticable.

Surgery date 10/29 lost 40 lbs 25 inches no real issues getting used to new life style. Was having trouble with walking pulled out my insurance letter I had to submit to insurance to hve the surgery, it got me on track. Getting Protein and Water in always a challenge, I can eat everything but raw veggies, although I don't try everything.FYI my sleeve loves wench's Chili that is my go to. Good luck oh I only weigh one a month helps me not obese.

So...I am officially 3 months out (surgery date was Oct. 2) and I am down 60 lbs total (20 lbs. pre-surgery, 40 lbs. post surgery) Currently at 212 lbs.

I do have some hair loss but nothing too big...I am working on 60 Proteins a day...most days I end with a Protein shake though

Had bread for the first time since surgery this past week....1 egg with cheese on a 1/2 of bagel thin (that was yummy!!) It has surprised me how much I have NOT missed bread so I dont really plan on adding it back into my diet

I've only been walking on the treadmill and eliptical up to this point...have an appointment with a trainer tomorrow (VERY EXCITED)

Have had many compliments and acknowledgements of my weight loss and most are appreciated....Really get bothered by some approaches of just letting me know that my clothes look too big.....YES, I know...but I also have 3 children to clothe and feed and shopping for me is a minimum until I get closer to my goal weight...............shopping is kind of an issue for me even when I do do it...It is crazy hard to believe that I'm looking at sizes that I am...and I think that I end up buying clothes not at the right size just because I can't imagine that I should be in a different size...I also have a BIG hip and thigh area so jeans/pants are difficult to find so that they look right and feel ok too..

Overall, I feel GREAT and don't regret my decision at all!! I couldn't be happier with my success so far and I know that I still have a ways to go (62 lbs.) I am HALF WAY THERE!!!

Have you checked around to see if your Dr. Or the hospital you had surgery had a clothing closet for their bariatric patients? I just took a bag of the clothes that I shrunk out of and came home with 3 lawn bags filled with clothes for the next 3 sizes. I have so many clothes now that my hubby got kicked out if the closet! :) that's a first! He has always had more clothes than me because I always buy him and the kids and rarely myself. :) it's a mom thing I guess!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
