Just think about it this way. If you keep losing 3 or 4 lbs. a month, in a year you will have lost 36 to 48 lbs.

I've been eating a lot lately. Seems like the more people that tell me how much weight I've lost the more I stuff my face.

that's so weird' date=' I started at 232 on day of surgery, which was Jan. 21st. it's my goal to be down to 165 by July 27 for my hubby's birthday. How tall are you? I'm 5'6". Any tips? I was hoping I could drop 20 the first month and then average 10 another after. but I was 5 weeks yesterday and just hit -18 today.[/quote']

Hello!! :) and thankyou!! I'm 5'2" only, I'm still chunky, but I def. feel much more confident. and any tips... well I do eat lots of salads, grilled poultry with no oils, and I actually did a vegeterian trial for 2 months! haha, eat small tiny plates, I eat 5 times a day with fruits and lots of fluid in between. my first month post op I lost 27 pounds! so, try ur best to be strict with yourself and you'll get there! : D best of luck to you!

girl i am inthe same boat but i can see your problem you are putting out a lot and not putting enough back in your body is thinking ist starving and it is holding on what it gets. now read me

i eat 900/1000 cals 80/100 grams of protien, 60-80 carbs and started working out 3 weeks ago light wieght and stationary bike B)

I'm back up to 209 this is such BS as soon as I stop looking at the scale everyday I'm back up 4lbs. It's not my TOM coz I have not had one sin mid Nov. So back to all liquids for me that's the only thing that keeps me from putting on the lbs. I wish I was like you all I'm just past overly upset and sad today :(

you are not alone. i have accepted the scalel is just not moving right now i balance the same 2 lbs weekly 225 223 come on 220 that was my goal before my 6 month checkup and thats next week not going to make it unless there is a miracle

I was sleeved 9.20.12

Heaviest weight-248

Weight on day of surgery-233

Weight as of today-175-176

I am @ a stall & it's really beginning to get me down:-(

I am right there with everyone else. I was sleeved 9/14 and everything seems to have slowed way down. I am still eating right, drinking, etc. etc. I'm down 57 almost 58 lbs and was right on target, then it seems like I've been stuck since January losing the same 2 lbs! UGH! I'm trying to be patient, but like NGM said I was hoping to be closer to goal at my 6 months! I see people who make goal by 6 months and I think what am I doing wrong! I have gone from an 18/20 to a 12 in pants and from a 1x or 2x in tops to a M or L so I know I doing all right, it is just very frustrating for the last month and a half!

I thought it would be fun to share my measurements just in case anybody wanted to see measurements.

Weight 209/205 I go up down 4 lbs.

We are almost the same. I love this I feel like I'm not alone. I haven't posted much because I'm embarrassed of how slow my weight loss has been. Everyone keeps saying I thought you would be skinny by now. I'm still wearing my same clothes they are big but I'm afraid to get rid of them, since I feel like a failure. I'm working out at least 4xs a week running on the treadmill 3miles and walking 2 miles so totals 5 miles 4xs a week with weights alternating. Never get more than 700-800 cal a day. Protein is hard usually 50 water is fine I have to drink it with crystal light because straight water makes me sick. I had my 6 month yesterday and they were fine with it said I'm doing great because the sleeve is a slower weight loss. I don't believe it. I keep reading all these posts and I'm getting even more discouraged. I think I'm just meant to be fat. Oh well here goes. I don't have my measurements but ill get that later.

Dos. 9/5 = 242

Today = 203

Off to the gym to get more frustrated.

You sound like maybe you aren't getting enough calories? Like since you work out so much you may need a little more

happily i hop you are happy soon girl. i have my 6 month check up coming up soon i wonder what will the dr say

If it makes some feel better, I, too, am in quite the stall. I was 210.5 on Jan 8 and am 208.5 here on March 8. A whopping 2 pounds in two months! So, join the club, lol. No, not uncommon.. You should know, that my NUT and doc remind me to share with my groups that weight loss numbers are irrelevant to compare. They said that we should, if anything, compare the percentage of excess weight lost and not actual lbs. For example, My IDEAL for a male 5 '11 is 160 lbs (absurd, of course). I weighed 260 at surgery. Thus my excess weight was 100 lbs. They put me at a target goal of 200 lbs, which would be 60% weight loss. I am at 52% now..... Not bad at all, they remind me!!

In fact, early on, losing weight was just darned fun for all of us and relatively easy. I recall on my 2nd or 3rd month checkup telling them how I would stop around 190 or 195, as I don't want to get too thin. They all chuckled and told me "if only your body worked that way".. In other words, what is easy now will become hard. Your body fights tooth and nail to get you to a normal weight. It does not like rapid weight loss and will always way slow it down...

Think of it this way.. why do they estimate 50-80% weight loss after 6 months to a year My target was 60%, which they would be happy with and which I will hit! If it was that easy, the stats would show 80-100%. IT's not for most people being lazy that they don't hit their numbers!

So, I wish it came off like before.. I also eat plenty of calories (those of you starving yourselves, read about the 1200 minimum calories pages all over the web to see why you have stopped losing weight); I work out like an FN machine now, lol. Sure, some of my weight is muscle. I feel and look great. Like a million bucks, so feel good that I'm not the only one... But at getting close to 60% of my excess weight gone, i'm way happy!

Well I had 110 lbs to make it to my doctor's goal. I have lost exactly 50% of that excess weight since September 26th.

That also means I have lost approximately 23% of the body weight that I started with.
