Hi, Im Tara, a 25yr old married mom of two boys (6&3). I have just scheduled my seminar, consult and cardiologist appointments for Wed. I am really excited and nervous. Any clue as to what I can expect on these visits? I am 5'5" and weigh about 275 so my BMI is around 46ish. I already have a pre-approval from my insurance (bcbs of mn) but I am terrified of something going wrong and the surgeon saying I shouldn't have the sleeve done. I don't have any serious comorbidities other than possible sleep apnea, body aches, depression and borderline cholesterol and borderline diabetes. I just am so tired of being the way I am and have tried so many times to get healthy on my own but have little success. I'm so anxious and worried and excited all at the same time! Any words of wisdom or general tips on how to remain sane during the pre-op process?!
Oh and I'm going through Dr. Joyce at BMI Surgery (Silvercross Hospital) in New Lenox, IL. Anybody else??
Thanks everyone!
I'm looking forward to being a furure Loser!!
