When Can I Drive.?

When will be good to start driving again.?

I really feel bad my 13 yr old has to walk 2 miles from school after 3 hrs football practice.. :(

i drove the second week, but didnt go far. just around town. but check with ur doctor.

I guess once you are off pain meds it is one of those "as tolerated" things. My mom made us walk she said it was a good cool down.

I drove the end of the second week. I didnt have much energy before then.

I was allowed to drive at the end of the second week. I think I could have driven a short distance as soon as I was off my pain meds, but it just seemed better to wait since I had nowhere pressing to go.

When I was a kid I used to walk 3 miles to school in snow knee deep up hill in both directions!

And my Doc let me drive as soon as my drain was out... about a week after surgery. Ask your Doc for the OK just to se sure, they're all different.

I was released to drive immediately. I did not take pain meds once I left the hospital.
