Some Workout & Weight Loss Inspiration & A Zero Impact (On Your Joints) Exercise :)

Recommended Posts

this guy below used DDP Yoga & went from being a disabled veteran that couldn't walk without assistance to being able to walk again freely... he was a paratrooper (and that is really hard on your feet, knees, back & shoulders!)

here's an article about him from huffington post. :)

here's the link to DDP Yoga: http://www.ddpyoga.com/

Also, this guy's story is part of a movie/documentary called INSPIRED: The Movie..

and what the "About" section said... (I just typed it up, because it was in flash & unable to copy & paste, so please excuse any typos)

The basis for understanding what inspires each of us is first determining what we desire and what we believe is possible. By using a universal goal such as weight loss, we can better understand the concepts with a practical and clearly defined objective. As filmmakers with a strong understanding of what is possible from a weight loss perspective, we strive to depict stories of what is possible beyond what is typical, in an attempt to inspire the viewer to believe in a greater possibility for his or her own life.

INSPIRED: The Movie outlines the journey of different individuals as they follow different paths in an attempt to lose weight. Some factors relate to information associated with nutrition and exercise, and the proliferation of diet and health information that often confuse individuals trying to find a weight loss solution. Other factors we discover are a bit more abstract, as they pertain to human behavior, and how we treat goals, excuses, and environmental factors.

By offering a comprehensive look at what diets really mean, the science of human metabolism, and the factors that affect our ability to find motivation to resist temptation, we are able to offer a new hope and understanding to the iewer, and inspirfe change by illustrating what is possible at any age.

We as filmmakers believe that the first step to solving the worldiwde obesity epidemic is to provide the inspiration that leads to change at the individual level, as well as raising the awareness that we as a society are responsible for the environment we create for ourselves.

Unlike any project of it's kind, we look a each diet and exercise plan and discuss with experts the reasons such plans may or may not work. We look at the scientific basis for diets, as well as the less tangible aspects of diet plans such as Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig, to better undestand all the important factors for success. INSPIRED: The Movie, offers a unique look at what really works and why, to better equip our viewer with the proper knowledge to make informed decisions.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
