  • I was told nothing more than walking until I was 6 weeks post op. I started at about 4.5 weeks and had no problem. 1 week is a little early, I would stick to walking for another couple weeks.

  • Thank you everyone.... I'll stick to walking then

I've been walking since day 1. Dr said 2 months I can start doing situps, pushups, etc.

Currently no arm weights over 5 pounds. Low intensity cardio until 6 weeks (next Tuesday for me) & then increase as body allows.

I would wait until your surgeon has cleared you.

Ask your Dr. but I would say cardio after 3 -4 weeks and no heavy lifting/crunches until 6 weeks. Of course walking and light tonight (arms & legs) shouldn't be a problem now. But always seek advice from your surgeon.

Good Luck!

I'll be 8 weeks on Sunday and my doctor cleared me to exercise (in moderation of course) for the first month or so. So take it ez and let yourself heal the for the first month or 2. You'll get there. B) I walked the first month or so and will be in the gym within the next 2-3 weeks.

I was the same as some of these folks. Walking is ok for now. I didn't get cleared for gym workouts until 6 weeks out.
