I was told nothing more than walking until I was 6 weeks post op. I started at about 4.5 weeks and had no problem. 1 week is a little early, I would stick to walking for another couple weeks.

Careful! You might get hooked! I love Pinterest. It's basically a website book marking system using pictures. And I get sooo many ideas from it, from food to decorating my house, clothes, yard inspiration, etc.

The only pre-op diet I had to do was clear liquids for 3 days as well as no vitamins during that time. That was enough time for my liver to 'shirnk' enough for surgery. As long as you follow your doctors orders and don't cheat you should be fine. I worried about every little thing before my surgery and everything ended up fine. Good Luck!

Well, I get hungry after a few hours. Most people on here eat about 5 - 6 times a day. It may also just be acid which can mimic hunger (I take a PPI for this) or head hunger.
If you are only eating three times a day I would try adding in 2 small Snacks to see if that helps.
I actually eat 6 times a day because my day starts around 6 and ends around 12am or 1 am.
So I eat Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack.
You should also try the acid reducers. Helped me a ton

Generally speaking, the recommended daily "amount" of sodium should be below 2500 mg. I try to keep it near half that, if possible. But it is VERY difficult as all processed foods are loaded with sodium and I don't have as much time to cook as I would like!
Also, I love deli meats, pickles, etc. and they are also filled to the brim with sodium! I track daily on My Fitness Pal (not only for sodium, but more importantly for Protein and carbs, as well as calories).

I use my Blender Bottle to drink them, it has a small circle to drink out of and it helps with the smell.

OH, I AGREE! I found the best one that I absolutely love and have no problem with is Syntrax Nectar. They have about 15 or so different flavors and I had ordered every one of them prior to surgery! I found out real soon that the best ones are the Chocolate Truffle, Vanilla Bean Torte and the Strawberry Mousse and there is no smell. You can use water or milk but I am lactose intolerant now so I use water which tastes just fine. I add about 1 2/3 scoop of the powder with 1 cup water and 1 cup of ice in a blender and it tastes sort of like a shake. Good luck!
