That's good to hear. It seems like everyone else complains of hair loss. What do you think you are doing differently?

Wow! That is awesome. Everything I have read says that you will have mild hair loss. What are you doing? Just being honest...I have really thick hair (that I LOVE), and I am very nervous about lossing it! So any suggestions would be awesome!

I experience hair loss that freaked me out. I too had very thick hair like Imbordelon. My hair has really bounced back nicely and I was NEVER even CLOSE to bald like I worried I would be. I took biotin for a while and now I take a supplement from the vitamin aisle that is for hair, skin & nails. I think it is a mixture of the supplements and me being able to get my protein in with no problems now that have brought my hair back to life. It is still thinner than it was but I'm OK with that.

I can't really think of anything that I'm doing different. I do take my vitamins everyday. I don't take botin are anything for hair loss. I know some people says u start to lose hair 3/4 mths out. Maybe!! just Maybe!! being african American there is a difference because our texture is completely different. I don't know just a thought.

I was 4 months out before I started losing any hair but maybe you will dodge that bullet! My hair loss is starting to slow, still losing a bit but not even as bad as it was.

September 7th will be 4 mths for me and within this past week, I have started losing my hair. I am panicking!!! I get 60 grams of protein in a day, I have started taking Biotin an just ordered the hair therapy Nioxin. I really pray this works for me. I have not had any problems at all other than acid reflux and now the hair thinning. It has me Trippin out!!

Is hair loss a problem with band and by pass too? I don't remember seeing it as a side effect. Thanks!

I know it is with the bypass. Not sure about the band.

Also is hair loss a side effect with the sleeve? I have the band & don't remember losing hair.

I'm only 5 1/2 weeks out and am losing tons of hair! Had the band - no loss at all, but with the sleeve I started losing it a couple of weeks ago. Comes out just when I run my hand through my hair. Totally freaking me out. I have lots of thick hair, so it's not noticeable... yet. At this rate, though, it won't be long until it is. :(
