  1. I was sleeved September 12, 2012 and the first couple of months I had to remind myself to eat. I never had hunger pains except for some rare head hunger if I saw others with food. I notice now that I'm hungry all the time and I can eat a full plate of food. I haven't lost any weight since last December and I know it's because of my eating habits. When our sleeve was done, I was under the assumption that they removed the portion responsible for producing ghrelin, so why is it that I'm always hungry? Has anyone else experienced this?
  2. . Did you ever go to Dr. Yily? I'm looking into choosing her now and wanted to know how it came out for you.

    One Month, Two Days

You look awesome. I wanted to know how far out after your surgery were you able to have sex.
  5. Hello fellow sleevers, it's been a looooonnng time since I've been on here. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys still find your self trying "diets" and failing at them like we did when we were pre-sleeved? I had my surgery on 9/12/12 and started out at 220. I'm now 150 but I've been there since the end of Feb. So two months without a lost is really frustrating for me even with working out, I feel as if I should be losing something. Well I've found that lately with all the stress going on in my life and the added fact that I haven't lost anymore weight, that I'm eating whatever junk I can put in my mouth. I really want to stop so that I don't regain but I crave junk food and will eat it over regular food any day . I'm thinking about going on a diet like the Dukan or maybe HCG shots but I'm not to sure how that will work since I have the sleeve now. What do you guys think about those diets after surgery?

    African American Sleevers

I've kept my shape however it wasn't what it use to be before I gained all my weight. I'm now trying to tone up to see if that helps.
  7. Now that's hilarious. My boobs use to be full and perky. Now they are barely there and what is there hangs so low, lol. I def need to try weight training in the chest area to see if that helps.

I def have to get my boobs done. I really want to get my thighs, arms, and stomach done but I'll settle for just the tummy tuck out of those 3.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I wanted to check in to see how my September 12th sleevers were doing. I hope well!! I fell off the wagon a long time ago and haven't lost anything since December of last year. I haven't been eating the right things though so I know what I need to do to get back on track. I started out at 220 lbs (18/20 size clothes) and now I'm 144.8 lbs (size eight). I was hoping to really be at 100 lb lost by our anniversary but I know that's not going to happen. Just checking up on you guys.

    Watermelon and Funyuns

Weird... I crave watermelon and Funyuns too, lol
  13. Sleeved 9/12/12 SW: 220 CW: 147 Down 73 lbs I'm happy that I'm down 73 lbs and know that I probably couldn't have done it without the surgery in a short amount of time like this but then I feel as if I should've lost more by now. Everyone seems to be doing so well with their weight loss except me. Plus I've been at a SERIOUS stall since December.

    Does hunger come back?

No, I haven't gained weight and if I do it's between1-3 lbs but never higher. I track on mfp and I can admit that I do need to restructure my percentage of protein/carbs/fats. I'm just concerned with the feeling of always being hungry. It's def frustrating when I'm tracking my food, working out, and don't lose anything and in so many months. I initial goal was 120 which was 100 lbs but now I have a feeling I will never make it there. I have 27 more lbs to go and it might not ever leave, lol.

    Before and after! pics

    Congrats!! How tall are you?
  16. Well I had gotten off track too, BIG TIME. I'm 7 months out and every week, I start over. I was supposed to be back on track today but messed up come lunch time, lol. Oh boy, this is a never ending cycle.
  17. I have this same problem. I hate it cause how can someone tell you how you're supposed to feel about your body. My friends have said they think I have some body issues cause I'm always saying I need to lose more. They don't understand that I look totally different with my clothes off.
