2 Month Before And After Photos.

  • Popular Post

My mom sent me a cute new top from Chicos, just as a really nice thing to do for me. I was thrilled that if fit because I could NEVER shop there. The clothes have always been too small for me. So I had my daughter take a picture so I could send it to her with my thank you. It was the first time in years that I actually wanted my picture taken and the first time, in as long as I can remember, that I actually liked what I saw. Below is a picture taken of me a few weeks before surgery and the picture of me today. I guess its time to start documenting my progress in photos. It has been exactly two months since my surgery. I have lost 52 pounds since that photo was taken. I still have a long way to go, but now I feel like it is possible and that I will never be going back to the old me!

Thanks everyone! Raven21, thank you so much. I am 5'9" so only a little taller than you. I set my goal at 150, but would be happy at 160. In that picture I was about 260. I had lost about 10-12

Thanks so much for sharing your story! I have my first appt. on Wednesday, then I start the 3 months of pre-surgery diet. I need to stop kicking myself for not doing this sooner but I am so excited I could scream! Your pics blew me away!

OMG we do have similar faces! Good luck with your first appointment. You are lucky that you only have to do three months instead of six. My insurance company switched to three months in May, but by then I had already completed my 6. Don't kick yourself for not doing this sooner...it's not worth thinking about the past, just living in the present and moving forward to a healthier you! (although, I do still wish I had done this two years ago when I first had thought about it...LOL)

You look great!

In two months! Grats! :D

How much exercising were you able to do in the first two months?

wow!! you look fantastic! My eyes just leaked a little thinking I might be able to fit in a top like that in just a few months!!!! *high five*

Fantastic job your doing! Keep it up!

How much exercising were you able to do in the first two months?

I am embarassed to say that I have not really exercised much. I walk about 30 minutes a day maybe about three days a week. The kids go back to school next week, so a friend and I are going to try Zumba. I also have an eliptical machine in my that has been sitting in my room mocking me. It's time to get busy on the exercise front. Now that I have more energy, there's really no reason not to do it. I just need to plan it into my day.

Wow, your story just keeps getting better! 50lbs in two months without much exercising? I want to be just like you!

Don't praise me for that, I do not want to be scolded on the forum! LOL :P

But think of how much more it will help now that you still want to lose more. It will be like kicking in another gear!

You are so right about that. I actually can't wait to try the Zumba class. I think I will really like it. I need to find things to trick me into thinking I am having fun and not just exercising. When I lose some more weight, I want to try skulling on the river a few miles from my house. The rowing club gives free lessons. I am not ready to try to squeeze my butt into one of those little seats quite yet, but I am thinking in a few more months I should be more comfortable and won't sink the boat.

A swear we ARE twins! I just can't do 20 minutes on the treadmill every day. I've done it before and I hated it. I have come to the conclusion that there is probably not one single exercise that I'm ever going to be able to do every day without hating it. And I know that if I hate it every day, it can't possibly last. So I'm researching different options to break up the routine! Like treadmill, yoga and/or Pilates, Water aerobics class, stationary bike, walking, etc. all mixed up. I don't have to find just one exercise that I can do, I can do different ones every day! Maybe not this summer, but next summer I can play tennis, basketball and volleyball, and go biking and swimming with my family!
