2 Month Before And After Photos.

  • Popular Post

My mom sent me a cute new top from Chicos, just as a really nice thing to do for me. I was thrilled that if fit because I could NEVER shop there. The clothes have always been too small for me. So I had my daughter take a picture so I could send it to her with my thank you. It was the first time in years that I actually wanted my picture taken and the first time, in as long as I can remember, that I actually liked what I saw. Below is a picture taken of me a few weeks before surgery and the picture of me today. I guess its time to start documenting my progress in photos. It has been exactly two months since my surgery. I have lost 52 pounds since that photo was taken. I still have a long way to go, but now I feel like it is possible and that I will never be going back to the old me!

Thanks everyone! Raven21, thank you so much. I am 5'9" so only a little taller than you. I set my goal at 150, but would be happy at 160. In that picture I was about 260. I had lost about 10-12

A swear we ARE twins! I just can't do 20 minutes on the treadmill every day. I've done it before and I hated it. I have come to the conclusion that there is probably not one single exercise that I'm ever going to be able to do every day without hating it. And I know that if I hate it every day, it can't possibly last. So I'm researching different options to break up the routine! Like treadmill, yoga and/or Pilates, Water aerobics class, stationary bike, walking, etc. all mixed up. I don't have to find just one exercise that I can do, I can do different ones every day! Maybe not this summer, but next summer I can play tennis, basketball and volleyball, and go biking and swimming with my family!

I really would love to swim everyday and do water aerobics but the only place that offers it is our wellness center and they are soooo expensive. Guess I could pretend in the bathtub. I walk everyday. We do a very fast mile and a half up and down hills but I HATE walking and would prefer to play basketball or anything else. I would probably like Zumba but don't want to pay a big price to go to a gym.

Check around at your local churches. We have Zumba at 3 different churches in my area for $2.00 a class, and I'm not in a big city.

You look beautiful!

Wow! You ARE an inspiration! We are the same height and same starting weight- I PRAY I have the great results you've had! Do you exercise alot? Best wishes for your continued success.

Oops! i see the exercise comment! I think you're right about waiting a little, I think I will be lucky to just get back to work after 4 weeks off!
