I was given Lanzor as a PPI to take at home, I have been taking one every morning since then and I've noticed I have a week of my capsules left. The nurse at my surgeons said if I need more I can get them OTC. I am wondering if a month out is too soon to stop these, and how long I can expect to take them. I'd love to hear what other PPIs people are on/ have been on and how long out they stopped them.

I switched to capsules my 2nd week out I believe it was and i took it out and mixed in the tiniest bit of applesauce. In the hospital the day after the nurse gave me a 4sectioned off tablet. I was told anything smaller than an m&m is ok careful with dosing though because it goes in and out of our bodies faster. I was on Prilosec OTC 20mg 2x a day prior and the pill was TINY!!!!! Like almost half a tylonal tiny!

And soooo much cheaper than dissolvable Prevacid lol

I was prescribed liquid Zantac when I came home from the hospital. After 3 weeks, Prevacid (a dissolving tablet) was added because I was having breakthrough heartburn. With the combination I have had no more issues with heartburn, and I plan to take them as lo has my surgeon will let me!! (My acid issues were miserable after surgery....I don't want to feel that way ever again!!). Best of luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
