IM SCHEDULED FOR SEPT 12

I started drinking soups like mushroom broth and tomato soup but I noticed that they have a high sodium content. Is anybody else doing organic clear or soups with their pre op diet?

I was told to start the 31st too...but i think i may start sooner,ive already bought my jars of protien and placed a case of waters and crystal lights in my car,locker at work,and home....I still need a few more things things lyke broth,fat free jello and juices...Good luck ladies wish y'all the best!!! Oh i asked a nurse if i could request the smallest pouch and she said yes,so before being put down im gonna ask to speak with my surgeon to ask him for the smallest pouch...!!

Thank you !!!!! I need much encouragement. I have a huge list of comorbidities. I am 48' date=' 5'4" with a wt of 274 . I want to do this I'm tired of being sick and tired. I just don't want to be a repeat failure. One of my girlfriends has Gastric bypass over 1 yr ago and she looks wonderful. I'm tired of being the big girl in the group with the pretty face. Ok enough ranting and raving. :-)

I would start it on Friday. I have 7 days pre op liquid diet.

Excellent! Best of luck to you too. What do you have to accomplish between now and then? I have to attend a meeting with the bariatric team (have to miss the second day of school for it!) Meet with the anesthesiologist and meet with my own surgeon again. There may be more but I'm not sure yet. Did the egd a few weeks ago.

Thanks. I have a pre op nutrition class 9/4, pre op testing and admission to hospital 9/17. I will ask about the edg but I think they will do it while I'm out.
