Any Raw Foodist/vegans/vegetarians Out There?
ok, I'm having a time with the protein and the amount of food I can take in. The doctor said I can have a salad but I just can't chew it enough that it won't get stuck. I'm going to wait a little longer. I think I have been pushing the food thing a little fast. I might go back a bit to soup. I ate salmon and spaggetti squash, and of course no matter how much I chew, it sits heavy it my chest.

Hungry Anybody?
Hey Everybody, I'm a little concerned, hopefully you all out there can answer some more questions. I am now 8 days post op and I am hungry. The swelling I was experiencing has seem to subside but now I feel like my sleeve is not as small as I hope. I drank a protein drink and I did not feel full. I ate 1 cup of split pea soup, 1 SF pudding and 1 SF popcicle and I still feel like I can eat. I thought after the sleeve it was suppose to take away your appetite. Is it just in my head. Please share Your experiences.

My Hubby Moved My Scale.....
The same with my scale. I bought the Biggest Loser scale, which suppose to have a memory of up to 10 people and it tells you your BMI and the amount of cals. needed to maintain your weight. If I move it thoughout my house I can get a 10lb difference. The scale is not the most reliable tool.

@ smallvegan, did you do some raw juices post surgery, I'm thinking about adding in some fresh wheatgrass juice and beet and ginger juice for healing. What are your thoughts?

Thank you for the info, I was starting to worry. The doctor put me on carafate and it's not really helping much. How about the hunger? I'm not really hungry as of yet but I can't really feel and pressure with drinking the liquids. when did you start taking your vitamins and did you crush them at first to get them down?

- All Food Feels Like It Its Stuck In My Throat And Chest
At first they keep me because I could keep down and liquids for the first 2 days, then I had problems with heartburn and hiccups. I'm not having much pain, which is good, Hopefully I get to go home tomorrow.- Any September People
Well, had my sleeve done on Sept 11th, with a hiatal hernia repair which I was not expecting. I could not get anything down for the first 2 days, lots of nausea and vomiting. then yesterday I started swallowing and getting the liquids down but then I have constant heartburn and frequent hiccups. but I feel much better. I hope to be going home tomorrow.- Roll Call Nurses Being Sleeved ...........
I'm a RN, 43 years old and I have been a Nurse for 17 years, 3 years Med-Surg, 13 years ER and 8months Hospice/Home Health. I just recently had the procedure done on Sept 11,2012. I'm still in the hospital as I type this because for the first 2 days I could not get anything past my diaphragm. Lots of nausea and vomiting. I'm doing mush better today however, now I'm having a lot of heartburn and hiccups. I had a Hiatal hernia repair with the sleeve, Has anybody else experience this?- Roll Call Nurses Being Sleeved ...........
