Hungry Anybody?

Hey Everybody,

I'm a little concerned, hopefully you all out there can answer some more questions.

I am now 8 days post op and I am hungry. The swelling I was experiencing has seem to subside but now I feel like my sleeve is not as small as I hope. I drank a protein drink and I did not feel full. I ate 1 cup of split pea soup, 1 SF pudding and 1 SF popcicle and I still feel like I can eat. I thought after the sleeve it was suppose to take away your appetite. Is it just in my head. Please share Your experiences.

I feel you, I have experienced more hunger than before the surgery. A lot of it I figured is thirst. But the frustrating thing is eating feeling full and then being hungry again in an hour or two. But it's kind of being like a baby hungry every couple of hours.

I am 2 weeks post op. I have felt that way a few times. I have found that if I eat a small amount when I start to feel hungry and then 'leave it' the hunger goes away and I am ok for several hours. I get hungry when I am alone at home...now I am sure that is my head and not my new tiny stomach!

Good luck.

in your story you didnt mention anything about exercising. you need to start a walking program and alot of reading on line.about food that will benifit your goal of losing weight.

I am 3 months post surgery today. I get hungry, about every 4 hours, but that is a good thing for me. Otherwise, I'd forget to eat and that doesn't help anybody! The cool thing is I can eat a small amount, like 4 Chick-fil-et nuggets, and call it a meal. Then I'm good for another 4 hours or so.

The other night, the hubby and I had gone out to a local bar, danced our toes off, and were headed home about 1:30am. I was STARVING!! I told him he had to take me to get something, cause there was no way I could go to sleep.....my belly button was chewing on my back bone!!!

1 pinto/cheese from Taco Bell later (well, most of the 4 oz cup) and I was full as a tick on a fat dog and fast asleep.....and the hubby thinks it is great that I'm such a cheap date!

LOVE my SLEEVE!
