  1. I'm glad to hear from you all this is somewhat normal. I'm still in the hospital, I am 4 days post op and having to worse case of heartburn. They say it comes from crystal light lemonade flavor. I drunk some and thought I was going to die. I'm also having hiccups. I had a hiatal hernia repair with the surgery so the first 2 days post op I could not get anything to go down past my diaphragm. I really hurts to swallow to fast or to large of an amount. I pray to go home tomorrow. I don't really know when I am full but I don't really feel hungry. Did anybody else have a hernia repair with the sleeve surgery?
  2. I am so happy to hear you are doing well. I'm having my surgery in the morning.9/11. ALRIGHT,,,ALRIGHT...ALRIGHT. Much Love
  3. Tomorrow night, @ this time I will be SLEEVED. I am so geeked. Ready like Freddy, It's on like popcorn.. Good Luck to all...
  4. Thank you for this link, So much Information.
  5. Many Blessings to you all..Thank You for all the Love I feel from you all.
  6. Greetings to all, I was just wondering if there where any raw foodist/vegans/vegetarians out there to share some nutritional wisdom with me? I'm really concern with maintaining as healthy or as chemical free diet as possible.
  7. Greetings to all you out there, Michele here, and I guess I wanted to share some of my personal journey with you all. My heart is somewhat heavy but I am finding joy and excitement in this process just the same. I have been praying for change, feels like all of my life, but I think I really got clear last year on the change I wanted to see. I was in a relationship with a man who was kind, gentle, quiet, and much older than me. We got along O.K. but I knew in my heart we where not the best for each other. Quite a few things was wrong in our relationship, but one of the main issues was we saw life quite differently. He cares very little about his health, and that's all I care about, my health. Like I said before I prayed for change and it wasn't long before the Universe had the ball rolling, to make a long story short we broke up in December 2011. In my mind however, I thought we had a chance of reconciliation, not wanting to let go and Let God, I continued to hold on to that hope, and even after I had decied to go through with this life changing procedure, I still wanted to hold on to the old me and my old life and my old way of doing things. As of August 2012, he has officially started another relationship. At first I was very hurt, as turbulent as things where, he was still my best friend, and I had grown to be very dependent on his emotional support, but now is the time for me to move forward by myself. I realized it was all in Divine order. It was so fitting that he find someone new one month before my surgery, so we both can break this emotional tie we have to each other, especially me. The weight challenge has been mine, and I think relationship issues, in some form or fashion have played a role in this struggle. I really don't like being by myself, and it took me a while to figure out the difference in being by myself, and being alone *vs* being lonely. The Universe is now giving me what I want, a change in my life for the better, a fresh start at a healthy lifestyle and an active life. All old must be removed for the new to enter. I wish him only the best, I am forever grateful for the time (6 years) we had together. I send all the Love, Peace and Blessings to him and his new Love, and I am so grateful for the new Love that I am moving forward with ....Me.
  8. Be easy on yourself. It seems like everyone gets into a little slow period, but from what I hear it is short lived. Also for work be prepared for the snacking but maybe bring something to distract you or my some healthy bulky snacks like apple slices or pear slices, they have fiber and will create bulk. Also I have tried Unjury, Chocolate Splender and it is the bomb protein drink. It taste so good. You are doing great, and your Mojo will return. I hope this helps...Much Love.
  9. Hey, everybody. I planned a day of cheating, my last meal before my surgery. I went to a Italian place and now I have taken my laxatives and one more day of clear liquids. I'm very excited. Total of 11lbs lost and on Tuesday at 12:30pm the beginning of the rest of my life.

  11. @ newgrandmother, I had my pre-op visit today and theni stop in Trader Joes and they have a Latin style Back bean soup in the carton that is so good, only 70 cal. per cup and it really helps with the cravings, warm and spicy. I was going to eat something but my father is flying in from Philadelphia on Sat to be with me while I'm having my surgery and I decided to not eat until he gets here and I will have my last meal on Sunday, Laxative that night and surgery on Tues. Something else I found to help me with cravings is Jello Mousse temptation, dark chocolate 60 cal and 0 fat. Hope that will assist you. Much Love...You will be just find...

I am so ready to be in the space you are in. I am just at my Pre-Op appt date and I'm very excited to have a new outlook on food and the consumption of it.
  13. I'm going to my Pre-op appt tomorrow, and I am so ready for this. My surgery date is 9/11 but the computer won't save that date. It's o.k. Even though it is a hard day to remember, I'm going to make it into something good for me.
  14. I am so ready for this surgery. I worked in the ER and it had got to the point where I just couldn't keep up with the demand and I was eating myself to death. Now I'm working in the Hospice House and I'm ready to leave for something different but one thing at a time. I am having my surgery on Sept 11th. When you lose you gain hopefully strength and stamina.
  15. I have Dreads too and that is my main concern. Hopefully we won't notice it so much beacuse that is some of how the lock is formed from natural hair loss. I'm a little thin in the top anyway. I don't want to loss any more than I have to. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools
  16. I agree with you on this post. I am 5"10" and according to the BMI I should weight 179Lbs which to me is too small. You also have to take into account for frame size and the natural extra "junk in the trunk". I would love to be 200Lbs. I think that would be Great for me.
  17. How do you post before and after pic?
  18. I guess I need to take a new pic with my locks and I was wondering if anyone had any problem with hair loss,Locks and the sleeve?
  19. Greetings, My name is Michele and my date for surgery is Sept 11, 2012. I live is Athens,Ga. I can't wait. Doing the liquid diet thing, lost 10lbs so far. Peace

  21. People enter into our lives for a reason, season or lifetime. She sounds like a season. The Spring of you life is upon you, let the Chill of Winter go. Good luck to You.....
  22. I started drinking soups like mushroom broth and tomato soup but I noticed that they have a high sodium content. Is anybody else doing organic clear or soups with their pre op diet?
  23. I am so glad to hear that because I'm tired all the time. I'm praying once I lose the wt. I'll have more energy too.
  24. Just started my Pre-diet, Pre-Op diet. Then the official diet starts Monday.
