How long did you wait till your were driving

My doctor gave me the go ahead on driving at my one week post op appointment for short trips. He said there was no danger in driving, except maybe long distances, because the anesthesia would be in my system for a while and may cause sleepiness on a longer trip. I didn't have any trouble. Thanks I am 6 days out and want to take my kid to a movie the new Disney chimp movie it's only 2 miles so I think I am going to try and take my bottle of isopure with me.

I think as long as you are comfortable doing it and of course off pain medication (Perscription stuff ) for 24 hrs, you're good

I had my surgery on a monday, and I was driving by that Thursday evening (which is also when I went back to work). My car is a manual transmission, and it was a little painful to shift, but overall I was fine my drive to and from work (36 miles each way).
