Carbs?

Ow many carbs a day is considered low carbs? I'm afraid I may be eating too many.

I have been told approx. 40g per day is a good number for "low" carbs .

Depends on the type of carb. Sugar carb vs other carb. I personally have been doing a zero sugar diet and its increased my weight loss tremendously (90 pounds in just over 3 months). This is essentially an atkins diet. No bread, no fried foods, no soda, no sweets. Lots of lean meats steak, chicken, fish. I do all this with a max of 1000 cals a day with working out at least twice a week with a trainer at the gym

Carbs should come from low-starch veg and a few berries. Sounds to me like you are rocking.

I was thinking of following sort of south beach and adkins is that ok

Yes

I am doing Atkinsish/South Beachish myself. 1,000 or so calories, 90ish grams of protein and about 40 g of carbs
