19 Days Post No Loss Is 6

Recommended Posts

Had a really good run to start 10 kilos in 13 days. But for the last six nothing. Us this normal. Heart breaking considering what I just put my body through.

I am suffering pain when I eat and can only manage two to three spoonfuls at any one time then I have to stop what I am doi g for an hour to allow my stomach to settle from the pain.

Please has anyone got any ideas. I am off to doc tomorrow as very worried

Search the site for 3 week stall. This is very common and just one of the stages your body goes through post surgery. Don't worry. Very normal.

Thanks, I guess I was thinking the stall would arrive at 3 weeks post op, which it did for me. LOL, I guess it can come at any time and last for 3 weeks? I'm blonde, does that shock you?

It will be different for everyone, for sure. For me, it was about a week, I think. It was shortly after this that I stopped weighing myself daily as I could see it was going to quickly make me crazy.

When you weigh yourself monthly, you don't see the stalls and it was easy for me to keep a positive attitude. I would suggest ditching the scale. It really does you no good early out. There is no meaning behind what it says. Your body is still healing.

Actually..... it was my mistake - the 3 week stall does happen at 3 weeks - and lasts for different lengths of time - I misinterpreted (msp?) your question. my goof

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
