I found this blog on pinterest.com today. You may want to check it out. http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/
sooo great news! i went to my first appointment today. Everything went great and Dr. Gerhart seems amazing. so looking forward to this. I'm going for my first appointment on Monday March 19 for a Gallbladder ultrasound. I am required to join a gym.. The local Wilkes Barre YMCA has a special $99 for 3 months for bariatric patients.
At my appointment today the scheduler called both the Psychologist and the Dietician.. just waiting on both of them to call me back. I have to get the Gastroscopy (EGD) done on April 3. Routine bloodwwork a week before that.
After that it should lead me back to my 6 week follow up with Dr. Gerhart. He said I could have it done by 8 weeks.. but of course there is a setback. my insurance company requires nutrition and exercise program must total 6 visits or more in 6 conseceutive months
(( Sooo i guess i'm looking at a Sept surgery date.
Does anybody else have Blue Cross Anthem out of CT?? the paper they printed out for me today at the office says Higher Mark Policy on the top of the paper.. it doesnt say Anthem anywhere on it.. could this be different?! I know there are many different parts of Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
side note: I've been battleing strep throat since Sunday.. only good thing is i'm down 8lbs! on my way to my consult today.. dad goes.. sarah maybe you won't need this surgery now? trying to make light of the situation! thank god for supportive parents, family and friends!
