I am getting my sleeve on August 2, in Mexico by Dr. Alvarez. Can't get here soon enough for me ;)

I too am having surgery with Dr. Alvarez on Aug 13. Now that I know for sure the surgery is on (except that I am still working to get my passport on time), I am coming to terms with some of the permanent changes I will be facing.

Congrats Mom24, I know that you will be so glad to have it done and start life over :)

I will try to kep you posted on my journey to MX and back. You are in great hands with Dr. Alvarez!

I am getting mine in July! The eleventh! R u excited!

I am more than excited.....can't stop thinking about it :0 I read blogs, watch YouTube and check out before and after photos daily. Just can't wait to get there myself !

Tameka and Joyce, I am really excited too. I am trying to balance my excitement with the sobering reality of the behavioral changes I will be making. I realize that this is a tool to help me change and not a "quick fix" for a lifetime of poor eating habits. At the same time, I am a little giddy! :)

I really love all of the videos on Dr. A's YouTube channel. That was a huge point of comfort to me. Being educated about what I am considering is incredibly important to me. Now let's just hope I get my passport in time! :)

Awesome! I pray all goes well hun. Keep us posted..

Time will go by quickly and we will begin a new way of living :) Much luck to you in the before surgery "mind prep" phase, that is where I am at now.

My passport arrived in about 3 weeks when I got mine. My friend got one not long ago and it came back in less time than that. You should be fine to get it in plenty of time.

A week from today on July 2nd!

Eeek!

I am July 10th, Dr. Almanza in Mexico!
