Hi! I'm 46 and new to the site. I have my consultation on Friday and am really excited, but would really like to visit with some sleevers who are around my age. Anybody out there in their 40's? All responses really appreciated!!

There is actually a whole forum dedicated to age groups. This is where you can get some great input from those members who are around the same age. I will be 41 in January and I am 10 weeks post op. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.

I was sleeved August 9, and I turned 40 just 10 days later (August 19). I love my sleeve and this forum.

I turned 45 on 10/8 & was sleeved 10/14. Still adjusting, I'm back at work (went back on 10/24) figuring out what to eat and how much, but I'm loving it! Feel free to ask any questions. Welcome!

I am 42 and not sleeved yet... but December 7 is my pre op appt. so I guess I will find out my surgery date then. Welcome to the journey.

I turn 44 on 11/11 and I'm more healthy today then when I was 34! I had the band to sleeve revision by Dr. Aceves on 10/12/11 so I'm about 3 weeks out. I am so glad to be rid of the band

weii i was in my forties when i was sleeved but unfortunately i turned 50 this year

Hi, and welcome. I am in my forties as well.

I had my sleeve done on May 25th, 2011, I was 46. I just turned 47 in September. It has been great, I wish I would have done it years ago but timing is everything.

I was sleeved July 12th at 47. I will be 48 in December. VSG was the absolute best decision of my life. I feel sooooo much better than I ever dreamed possible!! Good luck to you!
