Just wondering how long it takes the surgeon to complete the procedure. How long were you able to stay in the hospital?

My surgery lasted 38 minutes. I was very healthy except for my extra 60lbs. Surgery was Thursday afternoon. I spent two nights in the hospital and two nights at the Lucerna hotel in TJ Mexico. I walked about 1.5 miles on day 3 and 4. Dr Kelly wants his patients to stick around 4-5 days after surgery to make sure all is well before heading home.

an hour is usually about the amount of time it takes. i was in the hospital for two days because i lived far away from the hospital so the doc wanted to be safe. usually most people stay one day though unless there are complications.

Mine was almost two hours due to a really big hiatal hernia that needed to be repaired. I was in the hospital three nights with Dr. Aceves in Mexico.

I will be sleeved with Dr. Kelly on Saturday staying at the Lucerna hotel as well...Wow 38 minutes...my bmi is 41..Did you go alone?
